Excerpt: "I often come across forgotten legends hidden in the ruins of forts and monuments. I began researching these stories and found that here were hidden gems that needed to be lifted, dusted off and re-polished to claim their place in India's treasure chest of history. For it is the human stories of love and joy, and suffering and loss, that lend another dimension to historical narratives. Mandu-The Romance of Roopmati and Baz Bahadur is my latest book in the genre of historical fiction.
